It's not so in Diablo IV. Here, players are able to transfer legendary powers around with an NPC called the Occultist after an item with more power has been identified. Players will have the ability to transform common items into legendary ones too.
"And this is why the idea is being able to hold onto your build and be fully able to personalize your character's appearance by taking legendary powers, extracting them from one thing and transforming them into something else and fundamentally altering the building system," Fergusson said.
The power to extract legendary powers and transform them into brand new items is available in the newly launched Diablo Immortal, giving fans an idea of how the system will come into play during Diablo IV.
